Bed in Claro Walnut and White Oak

The bed is made to compliment the Dresser in Claro Walnut and White Oak, as well as the Mirror in Claro Walnut and White Oak. The panels were made by resawing the end of the Walnut plank to make the veneer panels. The grain was absolutely stunning, but so erratic it needed to be bonded with a stable substrate. I wanted to make the panels appear to be “floating” so I gave them a white oak border, and exposed tenons.
