Table Made in the Style of the Moser Rockport Design.
2025
Made in the style of the Moser Rockport table, this piece was commissioned after the client could not get Moser to build his dream table with a plank of cherry he had been holding on to for years. He provided a photo of the table, and the plank of wood, and we went to work. To clarify, this is not a Brockway Ayres original design.
“From concept, to design and detail, George is an expert. I found him to be a very engaging partner in bringing out the beauty in the wood I had found. In this case it was eastern cherry. I had seen a dining table that had beautiful style and proportions. Based upon a picture, George worked meticulously to create a full sized ‘replica’ in poplar and other woods to make sure all the joinery was sufficient before working with the highly figured cherry. George is a natural problem solver as he progresses steadily through his process. He finished the project within the agreed timeframe. Beyond his obvious skills, George demonstrates great care in the work he does. I consider the table an heirloom-that’s what George creates!”
