Media Cabinet with Cherry Parquetry

This cabinet is made from “woven” quartersawn Cherry. This is a technique of toasting the ends of the veneer to give it shadow. The knobs are hand turned ebony. The inside of the cabinet is bay laurel. The drawers are hard maple and feature hand cut dovetails. This cabinet is about 28”x18”x24”.
“George is truly a master furniture designer and craftsman. We asked him to make a cabinet to serve a certain purpose. We didn’t know what style we wanted or what woods we preferred. George had photos of our home interior and “went to work “. He came up with an amazing original design and built us a beautiful piece of furniture that will be in our family always.”
