The HVD Cabinet is made from book-matched highly figured Makore with a Madrone frame.  The handles are Macassar Ebony, and the drawer faces are Koa with Camphor Burl drawer bottoms.  The indside of the cabinet is Madrone.  The parquetry pattern on the top allows the grain from the book-matched sides, doors and back to continue up into the top with no perpendicular joints.  The cabinet has handmade brass L hinges and stops.  The shelf supports are hand-carved.
